Drawings from the border

By  Adele Manassero, Vie di fuga – What words cannot express, a picture can tell it better. Discovering the drawing blog by Francesco Piobbichi. We announce the new blog “DISEGNIDALLAFRONTIERA” by Francesco Piobbichi, lodged in Lampedusa for the project Mediterranean Hope of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI) financed with the Eight for Thousand funds of the Waldensian and Methodist Churches.

The rich man’s war… if you like I will tell it through  the drawings,” he writes on his Facebook profile to launch the blog. Behind each drawing there’s a story told to him, a scene personally experienced, sensations indelibly engraved on the memory, the whole baggage of his trips along the borders of Fortress Europe in recent years. “Indifference”, “The skin, between the steel and the sky”, “Barbed-wire Sea “, “Welela”, “Connected and fenced”, “The future is now” are some of the evocative titles of his works full of colors, life, drama and tragedy, but also full of resistance and hope. Works to look at and “read” one at a time. Il Blog: https://disegnidallafrontiera.wordpress.com
